All smiles

November 13, 2007

Yesterday, right before bathtime, Jonah decided to ham it up for Mom. We get such a kick out of making him grin. Click on the photos to make them bigger.

Resting up

November 10, 2007

Jonah decided to take a snooze before going wedding dress shopping with Mom, Grandma and Aunt Robyn. He knew it’d be hard work.

We love our sling.

November 9, 2007

If you know anyone who is having a baby, tell them to look into slings. We love ours. It’s great for walks and getting stuff done around the house. Plus, we should be able to use it well past his first birthday.

Doesn’t Matt look like he should be in a commericial?

Daisy finally likes Jonah

November 8, 2007

If there is one thing that Jonah enjoys, it’s being outdoors. It is our fail-proof way of getting him to calm down…obviously we’re not looking forward to winter.

On this particular visit outdoors, Daisy discovered that Jonah wasn’t such a bad companion after all. They looked at each other. Jonah cooed. Daisy licked.

It was love.

Two Months Old

November 8, 2007

On Oct. 29, Jonah went back to the doctor for his two-month check-up and received a clean bill of health. He’s 12 pounds, 2 ounces and 23.5 inches long. This puts him in the 40th percentile for height and weight. His head, however, was in the 50th percentile.

Jonah loved seeing the new people. He smiled grandly at the doctor and the nurse. Little did he know that while he was grinning at her, she was lining up four metal rods to jam into his legs. Uh oh.

I’ve never heard him scream like this before. I strugged to even get his clothes back on him as he writhed around. Then he slept “like a baby” until the evening…and it was time to yell again. He never did get a fever, but hasn’t really returned to good spirits yet — it’s been more than a week.

I can’t wait until he gets his second round…Merry Christmas Jonah!! Here’s four more needles!! Poor baby…

A visit to Nebraska.

November 8, 2007

Aunt Melissa turned 21 Oct. 28 so we went to Nebraska to celebrate with her. While we were there, Jonah got to meet two of his great grandparents. He also got the chance to hang out at Grandma and Grandpa Frye’s for the first time. Click on the photos to make them bigger.
