Now that he’s walking, seems Jonah has been focusing on adding to his vocabulary. It’s been fun to hear new words pop out of his mouth.

So far, he says “Mama,” “Dada,” “Nigh Nigh” (Night, Night), “Nana” (Banana), “Boom” (As in, ‘Boom, I fell down’) “Ball” and “Doggie” on a regular basis.

But, as I’ve heard from several moms with babies around 12 months, he’ll usually spout out a word for a few hours, days or weeks and then completely drop it. Then we won’t hear it again for a little while.

We’ve heard: “Bubbles” or “BubBub,” “Hi,” “Up,” “Yes,” “That,” “Moo” (as in moo, cow) and “Boo!” And when Jonah and I went shopping for furniture last Saturday with my Mom, he said “Grama.”
