To the circus…

November 24, 2008

We recently had a chance to go the circus for free! Matt took the evening shift at work so he could come with us. The pictures are extremely blurry (because it was so dark) but they are pretty darn cute anyway. Jonah was FASCINATED…for about an hour. He spent almost the entire time leaning forward on the railing in front of us — just so he could get a better look. He also loved the snacks…we let him try some popcorn and opened a floodgate! He couldn’t get enough!

Abusing Grandma

November 24, 2008

After trick-or-treating, we went back to Casey and Amy’s house for some pizza. As we waited for the food to arrive, the kids played outside. Maya decided it’d be a good idea to bombard my Mom with leaves. Soon, Jonah joined in on the fun. Poor woman ended up with leaves and sidewalk chalk all over her. (She looks like she REALLY hated it.)

I admitted it up front. We are horrible parents. We neglected to get even ONE good photo of Jonah in his lion costume. I can’t believe it! He was really, really cute in it. We even got him to roar a couple of times.

To celebrate the day, we went to Lawrence to hang out with our nieces. Maya, who is two, dressed up as her all-time favorite character, Frosty the Snowman. She was adorable. Cami, who is four months old, went as a ballerina.

Here is Maya, already enjoying her spoils:

Apple Picking!

November 24, 2008

Here are photos from our apple picking adventure. It was tough to keep Jonah from taking a bite out of every apple he could get his hands on. He LOVES apple! We found a few pumpkins to take home as well.

Colorado: Day Two

November 24, 2008

After a bout with the flu and some major catching up on work, I’m finally able to post more pictures. I’ve got a lot of ’em.

Here are the photos from one of our days in Colorado. We visited Hot Sulphur  Springs, Colorado and took a dip in their naturally warm pools. The water in the pools just pours right out of the mountain. The temperature varies between 97 and 104 degrees. Jonah really enjoyed himself!
